What Is a Paper Size Chart?
A paper size chart is a reference table that shows the dimensions of different paper sizes, usually in millimeters, centimeters, inches, or pixels. It makes it easy to compare paper sizes and find the right size for printing, documents, posters, and other designs.
What Are Paper Sizes?
Paper sizes are standardized dimensions used to define the length and width of a sheet of paper. They make it easier to choose, print, design, and share documents in consistent sizes. Common paper size systems include the A series, B series, C series, and US paper sizes.
A Paper Size (ISO 216 A Series)
The A series is the most widely used international paper size system for documents, books, posters, printing, and office stationery. It is standardized under ISO 216.
The series starts with A0, which has an area of exactly 1 square meter. All A-series sizes have the same 1:√2 aspect ratio. Each smaller size is made by folding the previous size in half, so the paper area is halved while keeping the same proportions.
Example
A4 (210 × 297 mm) is half the size of A3 and is the most commonly used paper size for everyday documents.

B Paper Size (ISO 216 B Series)
The B series is another paper size standard defined by ISO 216. It provides sizes that fall between the standard A-series paper sizes, making it useful when A sizes are too small or too large.
B-series paper sizes use the same 1:√2 aspect ratio as the A series. B0 has an area of about 1.414 square meters, and each smaller B size is half the area of the previous one.
B sizes are commonly used for posters, books, magazines, brochures, wall charts, and other printed materials that need a little more space than an A-series size.

C Paper Size (ISO 269 C Series)
The C series is a paper size standard mainly used for envelopes, folders, and document holders. It is also defined by ISO 216 and follows the same 1:√2 aspect ratio.
C sizes are designed to fit A-series paper. For example, a C4 envelope can hold an unfolded A4 sheet, while a C5 envelope can hold an A4 sheet folded in half. This makes the C series useful for mailing and storing documents.
